• 4-2008 Ego Bayou (Lil' "E") is training in Oklahoma at Joey Lingle Greyhounds.
• 7-22-2008 I spoke with Mr. Lingle briefly this evening. No problems. He said she is running good. Ran a 27.50.
• 7-26-2008 Coordinated with Greg, my graphics designer friend this morning, two new Block Sporthounds t-shirts designs will be available in the very near future.
• 8-25-2008 After speaking with Mr. Lingle and Kristin, Lil' "E" is going to Palm Beach to race with Bernie McClellan of B&B Racing, Inc. Mr. John Holman is picking her up sometime after September 1, 2008 and will transport her to Florida.
• Mr. Holman is scheduling pick-up for September 3, 2008, but may vary a few days depending on Hurricane Gustav.
• Spoke with Bernie. She arrived in great condition. He's going to let her settle in a while before starting to work with her. Told me to call him next Thursday as she will have been handslipped and boxed.
• 9-18-2008 Spoke with Bernie today. She has been handslipped once and boxed once. She was lost at first but made the turns and escape o.k. She came in 3rd in a 4 dog race. Not more than 5 lengths behind the winner. I'll call back next Thursday for another update.
• 10-25-2008 Florida pari-mutual wagering license application and fingerprint card was mailed to Bernie today. Once he receives it Lil' "E" will be ready to official school.
• 10-26-2008 Chatroom was added today. Feel free to use it 24 hours a day to discuss adoption, lure coursing, greyhound racing and all things Greyhound related.
• 10-31-2008 Spoke with Bernie. Lil' "E" will official school either Wednesday November 5, 2008 or Sunday November 9, 2008. She won her last five dog schooling race but her times are not where they should be. It might be that we'll have to move her to another track, possibly Daytona. Just have to wait and see.
• 11-01-2008 The picture of Eunice and Ginger together at home was showcased on the Night Of Stars broadcast as being the "sweetest". It is shown under each of their respective photo sections and the video replay of the Greyhound Night Of Stars XXI pet photo contest is shown under the pictures & videos tab.
• 11-07-2008 Lil' "E" should official school this Sunday, November 9, 2008. Good Luck girl!
• 11-10-2008 Spoke with Bernie today. Last we had spoke it didn't look like she would make Palm Beach and we were looking for another track for her to go to. He unofficial schooled Lil' "E" again on Thursday, November 6, 2008. She didn't do to well. Her times were just too slow. A friend of his, Nancy Guimond was looking for a few dogs as she happened to have several empty crates available at Naples. The decision was made and Lil' "E" was sent on Friday, November 7, 2008 to Naples. She will now be racing for Village Kennel there. There has been some problem with my paperwork. Bernie's helper was going today and try to straighten it out. Soon as that's taken care of she should be ready to race there. Spoke with Nancy. Lil' "E" will official school on Sunday, November 16, 2008 and Thursday, November 20, 2008. She will need to come in 4th place or better to progress. Good Luck "E"!
• 11-15-2008 Received email from Nancy. She put "E" around Thursday morning and she finished in the back of the pack so they are going to be doing more morning work with her before they put her into an official schooling race. She will go again Monday and we'll go from there.
• 11-25-2008 Received email update from Nancy. She schooled "E" out of the box yesterday with two other dogs from two different litters. It turned out to be very close with the three of them. The plan is, she wants to add one to two lbs. on her and keep putting her out of the box next week.
• 12-07-2008 Update from Nancy. Lil' "E" official schooled today and came in second. Not a great time but better than expected. She will school again on Thursday then she can go on.
